Your words belong to you.

This page describes how the ClipToDraft workspace handles the information needed to provide its features.

Information in your workspace

We store your account name, email address, a salted password hash, session records, transcripts, edits, saved drafts, source links, bookmarks, and usage records. We use a necessary session cookie to keep your browser signed in. A guest workspace is associated with that browser session until you create an account.

Recordings and AI processing

Uploaded recordings and downloaded audio are processed on Cloudflare infrastructure. When you request transcription or an AI draft, the necessary audio or transcript text is sent to Google’s Gemini service. Avoid including information you do not have permission to process. Temporary audio chunks are removed after successful processing; the playback audio stays with the transcript until you delete it.

Payments and email

Stripe handles checkout, subscriptions, and payment details. ClipToDraft stores Stripe customer and subscription references and their status, not your card number. If you request a password reset, Cloudflare Email Service delivers the link to your email address.

Storage and security

Cloudflare D1 stores account and transcript data. Cloudflare R2 stores media. Access to workspace records is checked against the signed-in account. Passwords are hashed, session tokens are stored as hashes, and production cookies use HTTPS. We keep short-lived request counters to limit abuse and operational logs to diagnose failures.

Your controls

You can edit or delete transcripts from the workspace and download your text and captions in portable formats. Deleting a transcript removes its associated drafts and stored media; usage accounting remains attached to the account. The free subtitle converter runs inside your browser and does not upload the captions you paste into it.
